Police catch couple stealing monkeys from tourist attraction
Footage of a couple being caught after they stole two macaques at She Mountain, to keep them as pets.
The video, filmed in Shanghai on October 20, shows a woman coming out of a minibus holding two macaques.
Police found that the woman carried the animals in the vehicle during a routine check.
The woman claimed that the monkeys were her pets, but she couldn't provide feeding proof.
According to reports, the woman and her husband caught the endangered creatures at the She Mountain tourist attraction.
The couple might face at most five-year imprisonment or detention as well as paying a fine.
