Remembering the Death Railway

This Japanese steam locomotive was built by Kawasaki in 1936. It ran on the infamous death railway at the River Kwai in Thailand,transporting prisoners and munitions. Over 100,000 labourers died, mostly Asian,in the construction of the railway. My Canadian friend and I laid this wreath in remembrance.
