An elephant hit by a pick-up truck scampers back across the same spot where she was hit the evening before.

Utai Bitdtakreu, 32, returned to the road in the early hours of Monday morning to try to find the injured elephant after it ran away following the horror smash.

Footage shows the female elephant the third in the line appearing to walk with a slight limp on her left hind leg.

Park officials are still trying to find the elephant to give her treatment.
