This video was taken on a United Airlines flight. The flight was originally scheduled for a 4pm departure from ORD to ATL. After sitting on the tarmac for over an hour they told us there was a mechanical issue and all passengers should deplane while they worked on the issue. After another hour of waiting they announced that the plane wasn’t safe to fly and we would have to wait for another plane. They then announced the new departure time would be 10pm. As you can imagine after 6 hours of waiting the passengers were irritable and many quite drunk from drinking at terminal bars. As we boarded the flight for our 9pm departure everything seemed to be going along as normal. Then we began taxi-ing and everyone was supposed to remain seated. However, the passenger getting yelled at in the video kept getting up to use the bathroom because he was drunk. This caused more delays because our plane kept losing its spot in line every time he got up. So, the flight attendants told the pilot and he announced on the speaker that everyone needs to stay seated or we’re never going to takeoff. So passengers around us started yelling at this passenger and told him to stop being selfish. Unfortunately, he was drunk and started pressing the call button. He started yelling at the flight attendant when she came over and said he wanted to go back to gate and would cause problems if not. She confirmed with him again and he said he wanted to get off this f*cking plane. She then went and told the pilot and he announced that we would be returning to the gate. That’s when my video began.
