Swimming With A Whale Shark (Ningaloo Blue Tours)

Buy video

Currently i am travelling around Australia in a campervan with my parents. Deciding that swimming with a whale shark was on the bucket list we booked a tour in Exmouth for the Ningaloo Blue tour with the chance of swimming with one was 50/50 as the season was over.

Two days later we off on the boat not knowing what the day has installed for us. all geared ready to jump in the water for our first snorkel when the skipper yells out saying "the spotter plane has found a whale shark and if we would like to go to it" of course the whole boat of tourist said YES!!

10 miles later, geared up ready for instructions for our instructor, the go ahead was clear and in we go. the first sighting was disappointing as the whale shark turned on us only being able to see the smaller fish travelling with it. The instructor insured us we would see it again. Round 2 was very successful and all i can say is incredible Once in a lifetime even though we got to swim with it three times.

The day just kept getting better, the sighting of spinner dolphins and they do actually spin. Risso dolphins popped up out of the blue and turns out they are very rare to see as they like deep waters but i wasn't able to capture them as they were to far away. Hump back whales were seen throughout the day and to top it all of we saw a mother and calf Blue whale also really rare to see.

As the day came to an end the crew said we were extremely lucky and probably once in a lifetime to have seen all these sea creatures all in one day.

Best day ever
