The British love to encourage birds to visit their gardens by feeding them a selection of bird foods. We should never forget though that all our garden birds need a water supply not only to drink but also to bathe in to keep their feathers in good order. It is good practice to provide fresh water especially when the weather is dry in the summer and also in a cold spell in the winter time when most of the water is trapped under ice. This footage captured at Eggleston Hall Gardens County Durham on the 24th November 2017 show several species of birds enjoying the clean flowing water provided in this beautiful garden.
Species featured in the video include: Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Nuthatch, Blackbird, House Sparrow and a Wren
