It rarely snows in Portland, so when it does, skiers have a brief time to go hit spots that have been looked at for years, waiting for the right time to be accessible to ski. Even though you can spend seasons, maybe years looking at a particular feature, it will not prepare you for the actual absurdity of it until you try it out. Fred puts safety first by wearing a safety vest, but as you can tell, it does not save him from the stop sign at the bottom of the railing. Concerned pedestrians are worried for Fred's well being because they don't understand this is just part of his daily life.
