Footage of a police robot inspecting a suspicious car in the surroundings of the Gherkin skyscraper, in the heart of the City of London.

The video, shot on November 28, shows the robot going towards the car to inspect it as armed police have approached a suspicious vehicle parked on the street next to the building.

"Sirens everywhere, lots of shouting, police very keen to clear the area," the filmer reported.

City Police's statement finally declared it as a false alarm:
"We can confirm all road closures in the area surrounding St Mary Axe (EC3) have been lifted and the vehicle has been deemed non-suspicious. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested for possession of false identity documents."
