Crocodile floats up to house to beg for food
Incredible video shows the moment a massive crocodile floats up to a house to beg for food - as a flamily calmly feed it scraps of MEAT.
The killer reptile was seen with its eyes and snout piercing the water as it approached the wooden home on stilts on the island of Borneo.
The woman, named Ambo, had been cleaning freshly caught shell fish. She playfully splashes the croc’s snout with a hosepipe - before her husband sits next to her and throws scraps to the crocodile.
Waiting patiently, the croc catches pieces of the seafood in its mouth before disappearing back under the water.
Agus Trianto, 27, who made a live broadcast and video of the incident said it was common for the ‘’friendly’’ crocodile to visit the house for food.
He said: ‘’The crocodile regularly visits the house to pick up food. It is usually fisherman from the sea, they love to give fish to crocodiles.''
The incident happened in the Indonesian coastal town of Bontang in the Kalimantan Timur district of Borneo, which has high numbers of saltwater crocodiles roaming its waters.
Many of the houses in fishing villages are built on wooden stilts for easy access to fishing boats. The croc in the footage is believed to be between 12ft and 15ft long.
Agus added: ‘’The woman in the video is one of my neighbours. We only know her as ‘mother Ambo’.
‘’She was cleaning the shell fish and took out the meat and gave some to the crocodile. He’s a friendly neighbour.’'
