IndonesiaPasola is a traditional feast celebrated in Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia which is carried out as a thanksgiving for the crops that have been given by God. Beginning by the traditional chairman who performs a beautiful beachside ritual called the sea worms to the surface of the water called "nyale" and if the sea worms have sprung the villagers down to the sea to catch him. Nyale can be cooked in the cooking as a food menu. If nyale many out on the edge of the beach marked that the results abundant and pasola event will be successfully accomplished. A group of horse men throwing each other with wood like a javelin trying to hurt each other in the middle of the vast pasola field.Mutually show racing agility and shrewdness throwing between the mighty and brave men among the villages in Sumba.if among them there are injured or died because of the wooden javelin then the problem will be resolved after the traditional feast was over and all returned peacefully . The foreign tourists are happy and come to Sumba district to watch this event in February every year for traditional event.
