A heartwarming video of a US mother surprising her pregnant daughter during her baby shower.

The footage, captured at a home in Portland, Oregon in December 2017, shows the pregnant woman getting emotional when she finds her mother - who lives in Indiana - waiting for her inside her house.

In the video, the stunned daughter says, ''Oh my god! What are you doing here?"

Later on, they get together in an emotional hug.

''I love you,'' says the mother.

''I love you too,'' the daughter replies.

The mother later wrote online: ''I haven't seen my daughter since she was three months along (in her pregnancy).''

''With the help of my other daughter and friends, I arranged to surprise her at her baby shower.''

"It was the best thing I could have done. I think she needed her mom. She had just said to her husband the day before, 'Wouldn't it be great if my mom could be at the baby shower?' Wishes came true for us both!

I live in Indiana and haven't seen my daughter who lives in Portland, Or (USA) since she was 3 months along. With the help of my other daughter and friends I arranged to surprise her at her baby shower. She is 8 months along now. As you can see we pulled it off! It was the best thing I could have done. I think she needed her her mom. She had just said to her husband the day before, " wouldn't be great if my mom could be at the baby shower"? Wishes came true for us both!
