Dramatic footage of a hot air balloon crashing on phone lines in 2012 in Janesville, Wisconsin.

The video, captured by onlookers on April 13 that year, shows the balloon lowering towards power lines as the operator tries to land before it gets wrapped around them.

According to local reports, the crash caused a short that popped the balloon and resulted in a partial power outage in the city.

No serious injuries were reported.

Just a normal day at the park when I noticed a hot air balloon trying to land in the field. So I though it would be cool to record it landing. Little did I expect what would happen next. Unbelievable! Fortunately there were no injuries and everyone was safe. Though the crash cause a major power outage in the surrounding area.
