Young Leopard Playing with his Food
Filmed in Kruger National Park, South Africa. This video shows a young leopard playing with an impala kill up in a tree. The impala was hunted earlier by his mother and stashed high up in a tree for the youngster to feed on. Still very inexperienced, one can see that this young leopard doesn’t really know yet how to go about eating the food that was presented to him. Instead, he plays around with it, scratching and pulling at the carcass and nibbling on the horns and ear. It was rather comical for all the tourists on the Safari to watch this young cat trying to figure out what to do next with his food
