In the video, filmed on Wednesday afternoon (December 27), Stephen Reichard jumps into the snow surrounding his house, which in some places was five-feet high.

Reichard writes: "The snow continues to come down in Erie for the fourth consecutive day. We have five feet of snow in the peak above the front door and if it is not cleared it will leak into the walls when the snow thaws.

"I decided to clean it off before it got to be too much and when I was done I jumped into the now that I just shoveled off."

A record amount of snow fell in Erie during a Christmas storm that has seen more than 60 inches of snowfall since December 23.

According to reports, the storm brought 34 inches of snow on Christmas Day, an all-time daily snowfall record for the city. Another 24.5 inches had fallen by Tuesday night.
