Is this clever cat trying to tell its owner something?

Here a cute - if cheeky - cat sat on his owner's tummy in West Hills, Los Angeles, repeatedly tries to swipe some food from a dinner plate.

The owner holds off Rocky, but when he leaves the room the cat cannot help himself and picks up the steak in its mouth.

That's one way to try to limit consumption after the holiday season excesses.
