Paddleboarding with Leatherback Turtles
Paddling on my SUP at the pier in Garden City, SC. I was fortunate enough to observe a number of big Leatherback turtles that were feasting on some large jellyfish, actually more like they were taking a nap after a big lunch.
I was slowly paddling towards one turtle that was relaxing on the surface, when another one surfaced right under my board.
Amazing to see them up close like that, such a treat. There were at least 30 of these turtles within 100 yards of us.
