Supermoon rising behind Glastonbury Tor, New Year's Day 2018
A Full Supermoon rises behind the iconic St Michael's Tower on top of the Glastonbury Tor. This hill, also known as the Isle Of Avalon, figures prominently in Celtic mythology and the Arthurian Legends. A Full Supermoon happens when a Full Moon is near the Moon's closest approach to Earth. On top of the hill, observers move around marvelling at the astronomical wonder. The video makes the moon appear to be bigger than what these people were seeing by using a photographic technique called 'forced perspective': it was filmed from a couple of miles away from the hill, which was tightly framed using the long optical zoom lens on the camera. Available in 1080p high definition format.
