Finnair A319 Battles for Landing During Storm Eleanor at Manchester!
OH-LVH A Finnair A319 is seen here battling Storm Eleanor at Manchester Airport. This aircraft arrived late morning from Helsinki and was landing Runway 23R. The winds were high and at 260-270°. The average wind speed was between 19-27 knots. Did gust to 40 Knots by the early afternoon. This was an amazing landing to watch and certainly shocked me the pilots managed to get it down. Personally I would of aborted and gone around but these were very skilled pilots!
