Workers in China put their new vertigo-inducing glass walkway to the test this week by hitting it with sledgehammers.

A video captured on January 13 in Hechi City in Guangxi Zhuang region shows men standing on the 180-metre-high structure and attempting to smash the glass tiles of the walkway.

As further proof of the structure's strength, they then jump up and down on the walkway.

The structure is due to open to the public on February 8.
