The didgeridoo is an Australian Aboriginal musical instrument used during corroboree's.
The player uses a series of puffs and circular breathing along with mouth vibrations to produce the distinctive sound. Matthew (a 9 year old boy) from Australia is able to make a very similar sound to the didgeridoo using just his hands.
On our bushwalk from Cowan station in Sydney, Australia to Jerusalem Bay, Matthew demonstrated the technique at a few locations along the way.
The first location was a shallow sandstone cave in an overhanging cliff, followed by a red river gumtree, he then stood in front of an Australian native grass tree and finally at the end of our walk at Jerusalem Bay. Matthew has a respect for indigenous Australian's and loves their music so much he wanted to be able to copy it himself.
The insect noise in the background are cicadas which are especially noisy this year.
