Buy video

Further snowfall have hit parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland over night with further accumulations of snow on top of what has already fallen over the past few days. Snow was reported around Ulster this morning as a frontal system moved over the area leading to falls of snow over Donegal, Derry, Tyrone, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo, Meath and Antrim.

Another Frontal system will arrive Saturday night into Sunday morning and as the rain meet that colder air it will lead to further heavy falls of snow over northern parts.

This video was captured over Barnesmore, Co Donegal this morning where roads where cleared by gritting teams. Another issue now is freezing fog leading to very icy conditions.
