Fisherman records selfie video as Alaska quake prompts tsunami warning
A young fisherman has recorded a selfie video in the aftermath of the earthquake that hit Kodiak Island off Alaska.
The quake prompted a tsunami warning, although no wave has been reported.
In the video, commercial fisherman Nathaniel Moore, 31, explains as sirens can be heard in the background: "I'm on a 100ft fishing vessel in Kodiak, I'm here in the harbour, we're about to take off and head for deeper water. Most of the city is headed to higher ground. We're going to do what we can. We expect a storm surge or a large influx of water. I hear sirens, and rumours that people are scrambling to evacuate. It was a massive shake."
The man later wrote that he scrapped "the boat idea" and headed to high ground.
The video also shows a large queue of cars waiting to evacuate.
