Gale-force winds and huge waves battered the coast of Cornwall on Wednesday as Storm Georgina hit the UK.

A video showed giant swell pounding the fishing port of Porthleven.

Heavy rain overnight has created treacherous driving conditions due to flooding and standing water, according to the filmer.

Storm Georgina has hit the west country hard, with gale force winds, giant waves, widespread flooding and even landslides. Huge seas at Porthleven are further eroding the nearby cliff paths, and the National Trust are worried that a minor landslide at Mullion Cove will become a huge one after a massive crack appeared in the cliff above the harbour. Heavy overnight rain has created hazardous driving conditions due to flooding and standing water.
