An eleven-year-old Australian girl demonstrated her engineering skills recently by converting an old golf buggy into a cool electric go kart.

With her science teacher father supervising, Mikalah removed the old seat and fitted new batteries.

Next, she cut a plywood base with a jig saw and screwed into place a plastic seat.

Finally, she adjusted the steering column and away she went, racing around the family property in Terrigal, north of Sydney.

With the oversight and help of her Dad, 11 year old Mikalah transforms an old golf buggy into a super fun go kart.
She first removes the old seat then fits new batteries including completing the electrical wiring, she cuts a new plywood base with a jig saw, screws on a small plastic seat and adjusts the steering column.
Mikalah then has a lot of fun driving her new toy around the property and driveway.
Her little brother Samuel also tags on for a ride as well.
Her dad Jacob Strickling is a Science Teacher and loves doing fun, simple science and engineering projects with his kids which he later uploads to his YouTube Channel 'Make Science Fun' for the whole world to enjoy.
