Monitoring the natural phenomena of the total lunar eclipse in Bukittinggi City is centered in the court of Jam Gadang, by the Climatology and Geophysics Meteorology (BMKG) Padang Panjang.

This rare phenomenon suddenly became a spectacle for hundreds of people who participated in watching the Clock Tower, and it became special, because BMKG also provides a number of facilities, so that people can watch the process of Lunar Month through the big screen that has been provided.

The mayor of Bukittinggi, M. Ramlan Nurmatias, who also visited the location after the prayer of Khusuf or Salat prayer at the Grand Mosque of Tangah Sawah said, educational tour through natural phenomena of the Moon Eclipse, as well as to invite people to be grateful for the divine power.

The City Government of Bukittinggi has urged residents to perform the eclipse prayer in every mosque. This is the power of god that can not be measured by just the scientific side.
