The ex-president of Ecuador Rafael Correa yesterday January 31, 2018 was cornered by a mob of citizens who would not let him leave for more than two hours in a radio station in Quininde when he was giving an interview in his campaign of opposition to the popular referendum will be held on February 4 in Ecuador. The former president, who has come from Ecuador to Belgium to campaign against the first popular consultation convened by the Lenin Moreno government. There are 7 questions among which the people are being consulted whether or not indefinite reelection should be abolished. If the YES triumphs on the following February 4, 2018, Rafael Correa would become a political corpse and could not run for the presidential elections in Ecuador in 2021.
