CCTV footage has captured the moment that hundreds of DVDs were sent flying to the floor of a rental movie store on Tuesday night's earthquake in Taiwan.

In the video, filmed at a store in Hualien City, the shop's shelves - along with the DVDs - are sent crashing to the floor and customers hurriedly flee.

The shallow magnitude 6.4 quake struck 13 miles north of Hualien, on the east coast of Taiwan.

Several people have been reported dead.
