millions of dead fish in maninjau lake
Strong winds blowing in Agam District in the last three days resulted in fish farmers Karamba Floating Net (KJA) dead, mass KJA fish mortality occurred since Monday, (5/2/2018) afternoon.
the death of the fish occurred almost evenly throughout the nagari both in nagari II Koto, Batang River, Maninjau, Koto Malintang and other nagari.
the annual event of the death of fish cages in Lake Maninjau caused by waste of excessive fish feed at the bottom of the lake that impact on the lack of oxygen levels of lake water.
the video was taken at the end of 2016 and the situation is still the same as that of late.
