British man attacked in Pattaya after ''rent dispute''
A British man sits on the ground with blood pouring from his head - at the end of two nights of deadly violence in Pattaya, Thailand, in which an Australian tourist was killed and eight grown men were filmed fighting on the street.
The shaven-headed man in a Mad Dog Mc t-shirt had allegedly been in a confrontation in the early hours of Sunday morning with a security guard over unpaid rent before a passing motorcyclists intervened - leaving him with head wounds.
He was taken to the police station for questioning and received treatment for the wounds. It was claimed a passing motorbike rider intervened in the dispute and attacked him before disappearing.
A few hours earlier on Saturday night, video captured a violent street fight between tourists believed to be British and Middle Eastern on the Walking Street area.
It was just 24 hours after Australian Benjamin Robb, 42, was attacked and later died following a bar room scuffle on Soi 6 in Pattaya. Jose Manuel Polanco Jr, 43, from New York, later turned himself in to police and claimed he attacked Robb in self-defence.
The two consecutive nights of deadly violence give a shocking insight into the Wild West style holiday resort - which has been plagued by extreme incidents over the last year and accusations that it is a haven for criminals.
