Huge fireball meteor over UK
A video has emerged of a huge fireball meteor passing over the skies of the UK on Monday morning.
Captured at the Norman Lockyer Observatory in Devon at 02:04 am, the footage shows the bolide meteor giving out a large orb of light.
According to Dave Jones of the UK Meteor Observation Network (UKMON), it was by far the largest captured at the Observatory.
The International Astronomical Union defines a fireball as 'a meteor brighter than any of the planets' (magnitude −4 or greater).
