Two first graders were filmed recreating the Winter Olympics figure skating at a school in South Carolina.

The footage, captured in Greenville on February 15, shows a little boy and a girl performing a highly energetic 'skating' routine together in their classroom.

The filmer writes: ''Today I had the brilliant stroke of genius to try to re-enact the Winter Olympics right here at Monaview Elementary.

''The kids got to pair up and practice their figure skating (after watching clips on Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon).

''These two cuties were the absolute best.

''They loved "skating" with each other and weren't afraid to dance together which is a rarity for coodie-obsessed little kids.''

I am a first grade teacher at an amazing school in South Carolina. I teach at a high poverty school, but you would never know it when you walk through our doors. We were going on Day 4 of indoor recess... which, to a 6 year old, is torture. So, to spice things up we have been watching the Olympics. Today I had the brilliant stroke of genius to try to re-enact the Winter Olympics right here at Monaview Elementary. As a class we voted on which events we wanted to act out. The kids got to pair up and practice their figure skating (after watching clips on Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon). These two cuties were the absolute best!! They loved "skating" with each other and weren't afraid to dance together (which is a rarity for coodie-obsessed little kids) :) Despite my classroom phone ringing they were able to hang on to their performance and snag the Gold Medal! Go Team USA!
