A powerful storm accompanied with very damaging hail hit parts of central and southern India this week.

Aftermath footage, captured on February 13 in the city of Betul, Madhya Pradesh, locals removing hailstones the size of a golf ball from the top of a market stall as huge amounts of hail pile-up on the ground.

According to reports, the unseasonal hailstorm caused heavy damage to crops in hundreds of villages in Madhya Pradesh.

A round of heavy hailstones and excessive rainfall was experienced in the Betul city of Madhya Pradesh, India on 13th February 2018.

As severe winds and thunderstorm made their way to the region, affecting more than seventy close by villages, hailstones as big as plums worsened the conditions.
