Level crossing incident. Van stuck between barriers on high speed railway line
A van gets stuck between the barriers at the level crossings at South Muskham near Newark Nottinghamshire on the east coast mainline where express trains pass through travelling in excess of 110mph.
Panicking the van driver reverses hitting the barrier which then goes back.
As the barriers go up a police car arrives but unfortunately is helpless to do anything as the barrier warning lights immediately sound again.
The van is then driven off but the police unable to follow and had to wait for the passing express train.
This incident was reported to British transport police but the driver of the van was never found.
