It is such a rare sighting to see a Cheetah in the wild, but to see a Cheetah mother and two of her cubs being taught how to hunt... Well that is a real blessing!

We caught this Cheetah mother one early morning teaching her cubs how to hunt with a new born Impala lamb. This is common behavior but not common to see it and in good detail.

Personally I have been in this industry for 13 years and this is the first time I got to be fortunate enough to witness this phenomenon.

Cheetahs a very endangered with only about 7500 left in all of Africa and about 1500 left in South Africa!

How much longer companies like ours, Tim Brown Tours will be able to show our clients these amazing creature only time will tell.

All we can say is we were blessed to see them and if you want a chance to see these beautiful creatures, you need to join us on a Safari from Durban as soon as possible.

A Safari is one of the best things to do in Durban as we have the oldest game reserve in Africa, Hluhluwe Imfolozi! It is a Big 5 reserve meaning it contains the five most dangerous animals to hunt on foot. The Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant!
Of course this is not all as there are Cheetah, African Wild dogs, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra and a number of antelope species...

Join us on your next African Safari!
