Four people have been confirmed dead after a suspected gas blast demolished a three-storey building in England's East Midlands region.

A further four people remain in hospital - one with serious injuries - after the explosion on Sunday night (February 25) in the city of Leicester triggered a devastating "pancake collapse."

The blast tore through the Polish Western Park Store on Hinckley Road at around 7pm, bringing down the two flats above it.
