Diary of a Commuter.. The Fare Dodger
I commute a lot by train and see some interesting human interactions. I think we all think, 'what if that was me?' when we see Revenue Protection Officers dealing with fare dodgers and people who genuinely made a mistake, such as buying the wrong ticket, getting the wrong train or simply losing their ticket.
This event was a classic case of someone arguing the toss and standing their ground. Fortunately they did not become overly aggressive and staff dealt with the situation with a level of sensitivity, clearly designed to minimise conflict.
