EMERGENCY LANDING-Royal Air Force C-17 Globemaster Lands at Manchester with fuel emergency! - 2.3.18
On Friday 2nd March ZZ175 a Royal Air Force Boeing C-17A Globemaster made an emergency call requesting a divert to Manchester Airport due to very low fuel. It was en route to RAF Brize Norton down south but couldn't continue due to weather there. It arrived Runway 05R and was met by fire services.
It later departed off stand 80 around 7pm. It positioned back to Brize Norton with no issues! Manchester very rarely get any military movements so this was very rare and very special!
