A double-amputee died "a prisoner in her own home" after the council ignored her pleas for a disabled ramp for almost a year.

Barbara Samuels died trapped in her home - because it took Arun District Council 18 months to get round to putting a ramp on her home.

The council apologised for their inaction, but this was not enough for son Robert, who is fuming over his mothers death.
