This enormous dam has become a huge hit with children - who are using it as a giant WATER SLIDE.

The manmade device was built several years ago to prevent flooding on the Miril River in Davao del Sur, Philippines.

But local kids quickly noticed the potential of the 100ft high Bansalan Dam to be used as a giant flume - shooting down into the waist-deep pool below.

Footage taken earlier this month shows teenagers climbing up the slope then whizzing down the concrete surface - some of them even standing up as they hurtle into the water.

Visitor Reyniel Cruz said: ''There aren't many waterparks around here and they're expensive anyway. This is the next best thing for the kids. It's free and it's more fun.''
