Students take a gamble at a pedestrian crossing
As the HGV driver approached a pedestrian crossing the lights were turning red and he held back for the bunch of students to cross the road. It is believed that the students are from the nearby Reaseheath College in Nantwich and were making their way to the equestrian centre from the main campus.
As the lights turn green the driver makes his move to go only to be confronted with two further students making a very late bid to cross and gamble with a 44 tonne truck within his rights to go. Luckily the driver does spot them and hits the brakes.
This could have ended differently but luckily for them they crossed without incident.
