Drunk man not let on the plane

Travelling back from Australia yesterday a drunk man was joining our flight from Singapore to London. We watched him stumble his way through the security check. He literally was stumbling around drunk. The staff ignored him and let him pick up his things, which was proving very difficult for him, he even got a 2nd back pat down by a security person, who continued to ignore his drunken state.

Then when he made his way to where we were told to show our boarding pass and passport, that's when finally the person at the desk there stopped him and he became abusive. He ranted and raved for some 20 minutes, swearing at all the staff. The captain of the plane was called off the plane and assessed the situation and obviously said he's not to get on the flight. The man became increasingly aggressive and was escorted away by police as he kept yelling, arrest me. The Captain made an announcement accordingly when we were all on board and ready to depart.
