A security camera in India has captured the remarkable moment a motorcyclist was hit by a jeep but somehow landed on his feet and walked away unharmed.

Though dazed, he even mustered enough energy to bend down and pick up his bike which had fallen on the ground.

The incident occurred in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, India, on March 10.

The man, who was lucky to escape with his life, had only himself to blame.

The CCTV footage shows him trying to make a U-turn on a busy road and riding into the path of the oncoming jeep.

The driver tries desperately to halt his vehicle and slams on his brakes so hard the jeep skids and hits the bike side-on.

The lucky rider falls but manages to spring back to his feet and avoid being crushed.

The lucky rider fell down but sprung back to feet, drawing an appreciative crowd, which gathered to have a closer look.
