VW takes out wall in Beast from the East snow

Driving in winter conditions can be dangerous, as this dash-cam video captured earlier this month proves.

In the video, captured on March 1 in Nottingham in central England during the so-called Beast from the East cold snap, the driver loses control of his black Volkswagen Passat in the snow as he is driving down a hill and slams into a wall, partly knocking it over.

In the video, the driver's female passenger can be heard screaming and gasping.

"Are you all right?" the driver asks.

He later wrote online: "I was on my home when I lost control on the snow. As a result, the car went side-on into a wall and knocked over the wall. Despite low speed, it caused around £6,000 worth of damage to the vehicle and wall."

Photographs show the damage caused to the vehicle and the wall.
