Little Corellas (Cacatua sanguinea) are a very common cockatoo and are widely distributed throughout Australia. They form large, noisy flocks and are often found feeding in large groups on the ground.

Little Corellas were not found on the coastal plain near Perth until the 1970s. They are now a very common urban bird and are often considered to be a nuisance. Little Corellas are intelligent and playful, often hanging upside down, swinging on twigs, hanging on with their bills, and sliding down metal roofs. Little Corellas are famous for being noisy, boisterous birds but they do have quiet times. This trio was sitting quietly in a tree, dozing and preening.
