Newsflare Edit - Bomb disposal experts deal with false alarm at London's Gherkin building
++CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN LOOPED++ London's iconic Gherkin building was momentarily cordoned off after a suspect package was found nearby.
Video shows bomb disposal police and office workers outside the cordon of 30 St Mary Axe in the City just before 9 AM this morning.
Upon further inspection, the suspect package turned out to be a discarded microwave.
The filmer claims the sound of the bomb squad destroying the microwave can be heard in the footage.
City of London police tweeted at 9:54 AM: "The cordons put up around St Mary Axe due to a suspicious package have been lifted and the area is now clear."
