Lexus T-Bones my Accord at a light-outage
In this video, I wrecked my first car, a honda accord '06. The other car was at fault thanks to this dashcam footage. My car was totaled and the other driver's insurance company paid 100% of my new car!. I am still unsure why the lights were out. this wreck happened at 3:10 on Locust Hill Road & N. Rutherford in Greenville South Carolina on 3/9/16
Short explanation and back story:
1. "Oh my goodness what are you doing" refers to the line of people running the stop and the car behind honking at me to go
2. I either did not see the Lexus coming or thought they were going to stop. It was hidden behind the cars in the left turn lane and I did not see it until just before the moment of impact
3. Thanks to the footage the other driver was found at 100% at fault. According to the state trooper without the footage, it would have been a no fault because the other driver claimed the light was green. Insurance paid for the same model and year of car within a week.
4. It was not the blue van's turn to go because the lane to my left was blocked by a truck and trailer waiting to turn left.
