This was the moment a woman had her dodgy eyebrow tattoos fixed.

Kanyarat Chaichan, 26, was left with the horrific dark black eyebrows in November last year after a shoddy job by an inexperienced tattoo artist.

She was resigned to being left with the unsightly 1cm wide inkings and unable to afford treatment to fix them.

But a kind-hearted beauty therapist hear about her plight and gave her a free 50,000 baht (around 1,100gbp) course of corrective treatment in Surat Thani, Thailand, on March 21.

Kanyarat now has to wait around six months before the results are clear to see and the original bodged tattooed eyebrows have faded.

She said: ''I'm very pleased with the results and grateful for the treatment. I feel much better now, and I think I look a lot more beautiful.

''I thought I would be stuck with the big eyebrows for the rest of my life. Now I'm just being patient and waiting for them to get better.''

Tattoo artist Vilailak Nan Sundantom who carried out the treatment uses a combination of micro blading and laser removal. Kanyarat may also have to return for further treatments in the future.

She said: ''There are many places to study to learn how to do tattoo eyebrows. It's not something that people should play around with.

''I could really sympathise with Kanyarat because nobody wants to have eyebrows like that for the rest of their lives.

''It was a mistake and this was a very extreme case. I will do my best to help but it will take between three and six months to see the results.''
