Baby Laughs at Little Fawn

Buy video

Little baby Selene (6-months old) startles little baby deer with her shrieking laughter. She is overwhelmed with excitement when she touches his fur. - This little guy was as small as our baby. He was out in the field looking for his mother when he spotted us working in the garden. So he came over for a visit.

***Our video is very cute, however too much interaction with wildlife can be harmful. After he checked us out we sent him off into the tall grass to hide and wait for his mother. Please do not pick up or remove a fawn from it's habitat, even if you think it's been abandoned. Mother deer leave their babies in hiding during day time hours, only returning to feed them every 4 to 6 hours (sometimes longer). Fawns are extremely hard to rehabilitate so once removed from their mother's care, their odds of survival are slim and odds of future release into the wild are almost nonexistent.
