Lapwings starting to nest in the Eden Valley Cumbria

The lapwings or peewits as they are sometimes called in imitation of its display calls, are really getting down to breeding now that the weather has picked up here in the Eden Valley North East Cumbria.

This bird is doing a bit of housework on its new nest in the middle of a field by collecting nearby nesting material. Then she settles down on her nest to incubate the eggs and then starts to call.
