A swarm of manta rays swam in the waters off Kailua, Hawaii above a group of divers in this enchanting nighttime video.

Descending to a depth of only 30 feet, the divers shone their torches up, drawing plankton which in turn drew the amazing, almost spectral, rays who feed on plankton.

The video, filmed in June 2013, shows the unique fish swarming overhead, with the filmer commenting: "The reef mantas have been researched and are all identifiable by markings on their bellies.

"The rays are 5 to 12 feet across, and they glide by inches away, without touching you."
